Choose between our Auto Detailing Academy or Boat Detailing Academy and spend two days learning the proper processes from start to finish. We'll cover product selection, tools, techniques, surface care, cleaning, correction, protection, and ongoing maintenance—while giving you plenty of opportunity to get hands-on experience.

🚗 Auto Detailing
Learn professional techniques for properly cleaning, correcting, protecting, and maintaining automotive surfaces. Perfect for car and truck owners, enthusiasts, or anyone wanting to improve their detailing skills. Our auto training is led by Joe Kimball, owner of Kimball's Hands On Detailing. Joe is also a Recognized Independent Trainer for the International Detailing Association, where he travel the country and help others within the industry learn how to master the art of detailing and become better and more successful detailers.
🚤 Boat Detailing
Dive into the unique challenges of marine detailing, including proper cleaning, oxidation and surface care, polishing, protection, and ongoing maintenance. Our marine training is led by Kelly Jenkins, owner of Flagship Yacht Detailing and a Starke Certified Pro Detailer, brings years of hands-on professional experience and real-world expertise to every MDSC Washington Academy class.

FAQ
Will there be hands on demonstration?
Absolutely. We will have a boat in the shop to work on. We typically focus on the hull sides. All the Starke products, pads and machines will be on display and available for use.
Will there be classroom work?
Yes. We like to sit down and go over some over the basics. We will have a presentation and slideshow. We start by introducing everyone. We like to ask why each person came and what they wanted to gain from this experience. Once we figure that out we can then dial in the message to focus on where everyone needs the most information.
Is this an accreditation course?
Yes. Sign up for this course to become a Starke Certified Installer and be listed on our site and receive special discounts on Starke products.
If I am a DIYer, can I attend this course.
Absolutely. This class is for the professional or the enthusiast. The techniques we will be teaching work across the board.
